Message Injector scales were in the 32000 range.

After cleaning out the fuel and checking my CAS/PTU, checking my fuel pressure regulator and checking for o-ring leaks and putting in new plugs I tried cranking it again and it kicked over in one of the cylinders but it seemed there was enough fuel in the 4th cylinder to cause a hydrolock. Stopped it and finally noticed the scales were off and fixed that. Car started right up and coolant poured out of the turbos onto the ground. I guess I should have just known to check the ECU first and not all of the other stuff I changed that in the end was correct.

He blamed it on my lack of being a mechanic to why it happened. Said I should have read the instructions to nistune and referenced a common issue with the 80's 300zx's with a different nistune unit as pointed out by Matt Brown at Nistune.

I don't know what happened to the flash but I do know that if you'd read all the documents you'd have seen that "If your car doesn't start,, you smell gas,, fuel pump keeps running,,, engine is hard to turn over,,,, do not try to start your car but check all settings... To me that's pretty basic but it is written in the documents."

Matt Brown of Nistune
"He was quoting the Type 1 manual (several pages in). That was to do with the older style MAF with hot wire on earlier models being held too long when corrupt ROM images were used (or wiring was wrong). Either way the ECU ran bad, sent a nice long voltage to the hot wire and blew it. Not directly related to your problem

Your case was different... it wasnt running limp mode but pouring more fuel in... a lot more than limp mode would also. The part he quoted wasnt completely related and was for a different board type to what you were using. "

There is a bit more that irks me but at least Matt Brown at Nistune refunded me what I paid for the software. Really nice guy that know his stuff. Wish I had just been more patient and sent my money to australia instead.

This all happened 2 years ago and that summer I rebuilt the motor myself with my inability to do basic mechanical troubleshooting and it has been running ever since. Didn't really feel like bringing it up then as it seemed everyone loved the guy and nobody would have known who I was. Doubt anyone will see this on page 4 but maybe I will write out the whole story some other time if anybody cares.
